Looks like this is my "Brazilian moment." After a recent great event with colleagues from Brazil about questions on [neo]medievalism and [trans]media, Bárbara Roma just informed me that her translation of my 2015 Kalamazoo plenary, "The Notion of the Middle Ages: Our Middle Ages, Our Selves," has been published in the journal Roda da fortuna 2/2019. Few pleasures are as great for an academic than when one's work receives the deep and serious attention of a colleague who translates and parses ones thoughts for a new audience. Thanks to Bárbara! "A noção de Idade Média: nossa Idade Média, nós mesmos" (Tradução: Bárbara L. Roma). Access the article here.
