United States of Medievalism is "out"

In today's mail I received one most exciting volumes created in my field of medievalism studies. It offers examples and cultural readings of something all of us intrinsically know: that the Middle Ages is part of the fabric of the United States, for better or worse. My own contribution is all about the city of Atlanta, and how some of its most famous features (Stone Mountain), characters (Margaret Mitchell), and buildings (Rhodes Hall) are imbricated with the medieval roots of the southern U.S.
