There are days in my life in higher ed that make it all worth while: It started with a visit by Dean Kaye Husbands Fealing in my home unit (photo below), the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, which parsed the state of the Institute and College to thoughts about the role of the School, including its future growth and budgetary health.
It moved on to a visit by alumna and benefactor Susan Robinson (photo below) to my Introduction to Literature, Media, and Communication class. SR, a former top communication professional at the CDC, spoke to my students about risk communication, with a focus on health.
And finally, another seminar meeting with Julie Ann Crommett, in the VIP course on Storytelling and DEI, which brought in professional scriptwriters and storytellers to discuss their work with seminar participants (photo above).
