Great atmosphere and strong projects this morning during the final showcase for students in Dr. Allegra Smith's "Content Strategy" (LMC 3415) class in Skiles 302. The students shared their research, writing, and website design and social media content developed in concert with six nonprofits:
These organizations meet a variety of community needs, including building a community of creative writers in Atlanta, supporting children and adults with disabilities through dance instruction, and fostering pathways for marginalized youth to access paid opportunities in the film and creative media industry.
My convos with the project groups revealed the progress students had made not only for their technical skill sets, but also for their ability to collaborate with real world clients, their (brand) identities, dreams, and tight budgets. A wonderful way to end the spring semester. -- Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts actively supports the community engagement aspect of this class.
