For anyone looking at the higher ed sector right now, it is as clear as is the summer sun that the liberal arts at technological institutions are not suffering from the application and enrollment losses characteristic of the humanities and (to some degree) behavioral and social sciences. Our degree programs at Georgia Tech, for example, show a significant ROI advantage (graduates earn more), learning advantage (they are highly satisfied), and future-proof (they find positions less prone to being replaced by AI, etc.) advantage when compared with traditional institutions. And the trend is acknowledged by traditional institutions that experiment increasingly with the Applied Humanities.
