For anyone looking at the higher ed sector right now, it is crystal clear that the liberal arts at technological institutions are not suffering from the application and enrollment losses characteristic of the humanities and (to some degree) behavioral and social sciences. Our degree programs at Georgia Tech, for example, show a clear ROI advantage (they earn more), learning advantage (high satisfaction), and future-proof (as future leaders) advantage when compared with traditional institutions. And the trend is acknowledged by traditional institutions that experiment increasingly with the Applied Humanities.
