Review of Ziolkowski, Nostalgia and the German(ic) Past

I recently reviewed Jan M. Ziolkowski's Nostalgia and the German(ic) Past: The Medieval Poem of Walthare, Zürich, Chronos, 2024, an essai that challenges simplistic readings of all nostalgic medievalism as as endangering civil society and democracy.
