Support for LGBTQIA in LMC and IAC


Happy to announce that two benefactors have recently committed to supporting LGBTQ+ activities and events in LMC and IAC. In LMC, we will receive funding, initially for five years, for:

Undergraduate Student LGBTQIA BRIDGE AWARD for research, scholarship, or creative activity that promotes innovative ways to improve understanding for and dialogue about LGBTQIA issues. Graduate Student LGBTQIA BRIDGE AWARD for research, scholarship, or creative activity that promotes innovative ways to improve understanding for and dialogue about LGBTQIA issues. UNDERGRADUATE ALLY STUDENT LEADER SCHOLARSHIP. Awardees will be full-time students in one of the undergraduate majors in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication in good academic standing. They will show documented leadership, support, or involvement in organizations, activities, or issues that promote awareness and acceptance of the LGBTQIA community at Georgia Tech or beyond. GRADUATE ALLY STUDENT LEADER SCHOLARSHIP. Awardees will be full-time students in one of the graduate programs in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication in good academic standing. They will show documented leadership, support, or involvement in organizations, activities, or issues that promote awareness and acceptance of the LGBTQIA community at Georgia Tech or beyond. Details about these LMC awards and scholarships, the IAC projects, and the identity of our donors will be forthcoming in May.
