Taking academic processes seriously

I recently published a short piece in Inside Higher Ed on one of the essential features during the process to evaluate faculty for promotion and tenure, the external letters from faculty peers. I hope the article supports those working in faculty affairs and faculty development with their own thinking about the letters and the process in general.
