Today, we had Luiz Felipe Anchieta Guerra in my undergraduate/graduate class on Game of Thrones & Global Media. He is currently finishing his Master's thesis on medievalism in Brazil at the Universidade Federal de Mines Gerais, in the Programa de Pós Graduação em História - UFMG. One of the highlights was his analysis of Deus Salve o Rei (English: God Save the King), a Brazilian telenovela produced specifically in response to GoT. In addition to six Literature, Media, and Communication seniors, my class includes six students from Georgia Tech's new one-year MS in Global Media & Cultures.
